Apply to perform at the Helena Comedy Festival 2025

How to Submit

1. Prepare Your Video

Record a 3-5 minute stand-up comedy set that best represents your current material. Make sure it's well-lit, has good audio quality, and shows you performing in front of a live audience. If the video is longer than 5 minutes, we might not watch the whole thing.

2. Upload to YouTube

Upload your video to YouTube as an "Unlisted" video. This means only people with the direct link can view it. Make sure your video is publicly accessible via the link.

Submission FAQ

When will I hear back about my submission?

We will notify all applicants by August 18, 2025.

What if I can't afford the submission fee?

You should probably not submit to perform at comedy festivals if $20 is a material consideration. Travel and lodging cost more than $20.

Can I submit multiple videos?

Multiple submissions will not increase your chances of being selected, but feel free to pay the submission fee multiple times.

Can I submit an audio-only clip?

Not if you want to get in.

What if my video is from a while ago?

We prefer recent material that represents your current act. If your video is more than 6 months old, we recommend recording a new set.

Will performers be compensated?

Some performers will. Probably not you.

Why do you charge a submission fee?

Currently, there is some money that you have. We would like to have that money instead.
