About Sergio Novoa

Sergio was born in Nicaragua. He moved to the U.S. to escape war. After careers as a personal trainer and entrepreneur, he finally embraced his true passion—stand-up comedy. He started comedy in San Francisco and now based in Los Angeles, Sergio has performed everywhere, from local dive bars to legendary venues like Punch Line SF, Cobb’s Comedy, Hollywood Improv, The Ice House and the Laugh Factory to mane a few. He was features in SF Sketchfest 2025 and has opened for Craig Shoemaker and toured with Paul Rodriguez.
